In April of 2014, Brandon set out for the biggest adventure of his life – hiking 2,650 across the country from Mexico to Canada. He was looking for something out of the ordinary, something life-altering and he found exactly that. In early September that fall, he would cross the US Border into Canada and succeed in his journey of thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.
During the last few months of his hike, Chelsey came across his adventure and photography on social media and fell in love with his ambition, and the stories he would tell. Little did we know, we had a lot of mutual friends through photography groups here in Chicago, so once he returned from his hike we started connecting more often. Within two weeks time we were talking every single day, all day long.
Our first date was on a rooftop in downtown Chicago, to photograph the cityscape during sunset. We took photos and watched the sunset from there while laughing, talking and getting to know each other – it was one of the most beautiful views of the city we had ever seen. We both new from that night, this was going to be something special and the rest is history. Fast forward 8 years and here we are 🙂
